MSAT-X Quarterly 1984-1993.

The MSAT-X Quarterly was renamed SATCOM Quarterly beginning with the April 1991, edition, with a new series, 410-33, and expanded subject matter. See SATCOM Quarterly for more details. The MSAT-X Quarterly is a newsletter that was published by Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) to disseminate information on the MSAT-X program, present highlights of advanced technology - research and development carried out by NASA/JPL and their contractors, and announce contract opportunities. MSAT-X (Mobile Satellite Experiment) was managed by JPL for NASA as part of NASA's Mobile Satellite Communications Program. The purpose of the MSAT-X program was to develop advanced ground segment technologies and techniques for mobile communications via satellite in high-capacity systems. The areas of technological development include vehicle antennas, mobile radios, and efficient network management and multiple-access schemes. [Description taken from the first issue.].
